Abstract

FIELD: measurement technology; check of physico-chemical properties of suepnsions. SUBSTANCE: analyser ensures precise connection between degree of attenuation of light passing through suspension being tested and volume concentration of insoluble particles. Within range of sizes of particles from 0.5 to 20-25 mk, the relationship similar to Bouguer-Lambert-Beer law C= KLnN, where N is degree of attenuation of light; K is proportionality coefficient determined by parameters of analyser and Cis volume concentration of particles, e.i. total volume of particles in unit volume of liquid is satisfied at accuracy better than 10 percent. Contamination of measuting tray is checked with the aid of additional photodetectro entrapping radiation scattered at small angles. Considerable intensity of scattered radiation by empty tray is indicative of dirty glasses of tray. Tray shall be replaced in this case. Results of measurements do not practically depend on chemical composition of liquid and particles. EFFECT: enhanced accuracy of measurements. 2 cl, 2 dwg
