Abstract
FIELD: ferrous metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: method comprises controlled blow in different periods of smelting taking into account rate of decarbonization and slag generation. The blow is carried out at 56-75 nm/min intensity per 1 mof bath area at the second stage when 30 to 50 per cent of oxygen has not been consumed yet. Then oxygen rate is decreased by 60 to 80 per cent of its flow rate at the second stage of the blow. EFFECT: elimination of metal and slag releases, reduced blow extension, decreased cost price, increased steel content of up to 93.2 per cent. 1 tbl
