Изобретение относитс  к производству оптического волокна и может быть использовано дл  упрочнени  волокна в процессе его выработки. С целью повышени  прочности волокна на разрыв, состав дл  обработки оптического волокна включает, мас.%: церезин 0,2-0,8, перхлорэтилен остальное. Среднее значение прочности волокна на разрыв 660-677 МПа. 1 табл.The invention relates to the production of optical fiber and can be used to strengthen the fiber during its production. В сосуд с перхлорэтиленом внос т необходимое количество церезина и смесь нагревают при перемешивании до температуры каплепадени  церезина. Когда раствор станет прозрачным, его охлаждают до комнатной температуры.
