Description
Installations for observing thermal fatigue cracks in flat samples are known. These units are equipped with a flat inductor to obtain an elliptical zone of heating the sample with high frequency currents, a nozzle for supplying cooling fluid to the heating zone, a generator of high frequency currents and a device with indicator clocks for measuring elastic and residual deflections.
Недостатком подобных установок вл етс невозможность осуществлени наблюдени за образованием и развитием трещин усталости при действии высокой температуры непосредственно в ходе развити процесса , так как они позвол ют только фиксировать отдельные стадии процесса разрушени .The disadvantage of such installations is the impossibility of observing the formation and development of fatigue cracks under the action of high temperature directly during the development of the process, since they only allow to fix individual stages of the destruction process.
The proposed installation does not have this disadvantage.
The essence of the invention is that the device uses an ultrasonic flaw detector equipped with a prism probe, which has a beam incidence angle to obtain surface ultrasonic vibrations directed along the greater axis of the heated zone.
FIG. 1 shows the installation diagram; in fig. 2 - mounting unit of the prize.
7.The installation consists of a generator of high frequency currents (not shown), a flat U-shaped inductor /, a device 2 for fastening a flat sample 5, a nozzle 4 for supplying coolant to the heating zone, a device 5 with an indicator 6 for measuring elastic and residual deflections , ultrasonic flaw detector (not shown) and prismatic probe 7.
The use of a flat U-shaped inductor makes it possible to obtain a narrow elliptical-shaped heating zone, which determines the location of thermal fatigue cracks strictly parallel to the small axis of the ellipse.
