Description

A known method for determining the sensitivity to the formation of cracks of a high-strength structural steel during static bending of a flat notched specimen.

The proposed method for determining the crack sensitivity of high-strength sheet structural materials is to test a sample with cracks formed by static stretching with an eccentricity of a sample with notches.

The purpose of the invention is to improve the accuracy of the results: obtained by testing. FIG. 1 shows the test specimen with notches, top view; in fig. Sample 2 with formed cracks, top view.

The flat specimen / with notches 2 is stretched by an eccentric load P applied through holes 5 to the occurrence of a crack 4 in the notches. The crack length is measured during the stretching process. A crack can be made on one side of the specimen, but a slight stretch on the other side of the specimen is necessary to level it. Therefore, through hole 5 is produced. extra stretch. After cracking the sample, the ends are cut off on the heads and a portion of the material is removed to the bottom of the cut. The sample becomes smooth, but cracked. 4. By measuring the area of sample 1, minus the area occupied by the cracks, the sample / is tested for stretching. The degree of reduction in strength on samples with cracks, compared with the initial material without a crack, characterizes the sensitivity of the test material to the crack. When tested in the manner described above, it was found that the critical crack length in viscous material state (+ 20 °) is 20-30% of the width of the test specimen. With brittle fracture (-196 °), the strength of the material is sharply reduced, but it does not depend on the crack length.
