Abstract
FIELD: heterocyclic compounds. SUBSTANCE: product: 2-(3,5-di- -tert.-butyl-4-hydroxybenzoylmethylthio)-5-ethoxybenzimidazole. Synthesis is carried out from 2-bromomethyl-(4-hydroxy-3,5-di-tert. -butylphenol-ketone and 5-ethoxybenzimidazolethiol-2 in benzene medium at 55-60 C. Yield is 90%, m. p. is 151-152 C, empirical formula is CHONS., toxicity is LD= 5000 mg/kg. New compound shows enhanced activity as compared with antioxidant ionol used in large doses and can be used in medicine. EFFECT: increased yield, enhanced activity. 6 tbl
