Description

In the proposed device for lowering the crests in folding, tape, and buckling machines with cams, the latter are fixed at the end of the vras, ayush; The cams are proposed to be made one-piece or composed of each of two halves hinged to each other, fitted with a spring for the elastic action of the cam on the lowered ridges.

The movement is borrowed from the apparatus for lifting the ridges by means of the above-mentioned pair of gears 1-2 (Fig. 2), operating in parallel lying axes, and the gear ratio of this gear to the adaptation from the apparatus for lifting the ridges must be: 1: 2. The cams 7 can be either solid (Fig. 3): with a hardened working surface for light ridges, and each consisting of two halves (Fig. 4) hinged together and provided with a flat or wedge spring for the elastic action of the cam on the lowered ridges and thereby reducing wear on the ends of the canvases of the latter. To soften the blows and absorb the sounds, the seat of the cam is equipped with fiber or skin. B.
