The invention relates to medicine, in particular to dentistry, and is intended for use in drills, which provide air for rotation of the working tool and water for cooling.

The disadvantage of this design is that it does not exclude the flow of water to the idle tip, since when the water supply to the tip is turned off, part of it remains in the hose between the valve and the tip; water under pressure flows out of it for some time after the termination of the tip.

Closest to the invention is a device for supplying air and water to a dental handpiece, containing a two-position valve-type distributor with a membrane and working cavities for controlling the flow of water, a valve for controlling the flow of air, pipelines for supplying air and water [2].

A disadvantage of the known design is that it does not exclude the flow of water to the idle nozzle, since in such a valve dispenser an acceptable size membrane does not stop the flow of water in the hose of considerable length, and it continues to ooze from the nozzle for some time after termination work. The exclusion of water to the idle tip connected to the drill with a hose of considerable length requires an increase in the size of the membrane, and this, in turn, entails an increase in the dimensions of the drill.

The purpose of the invention is to increase the sanitary and hygienic conditions of the dentist by eliminating the flow of water to the idle dental tip.

It is additionally equipped with a threaded channel for connecting it to the sewage drain, and the threaded channel is connected through the working cavity of the on-off distributor to the water supply pipe.

This embodiment of the device eliminates the flow of water to the idle tip, since the design of the two positional distributor provides a connection of the channel for supplying water to the tip with the atmosphere (in this case, the sewage system) as soon as the dental tip stops working.

With the valve 10 open, air under pressure enters through the pipes 13 and 14 to the dental tip and into the control cavity 6 of the on-off distributor 1. The air pressure of the membrane 2 with the rod 3 rises, overcoming the force of the spring 7, and water enters the pipeline 11 through the cavity 4, the channel 9 and a conduit 12 to the dental handpiece for cooling the boron. As soon as the operation of the dental handpiece stops, the valve 10 blocks the flow of compressed air into the pipes 13 and 14 and the control cavity 6 of the on-off distributor 1. In this case, the rod 3 and the membrane 2 under the action of the spring 7 moves downward, communicating the pipe 12 through the channel 9, the working cavity 5 and threaded channel 8 with sewage. Water in the pipe 12 under pressure rushes into the sewer.

Using the proposed device can improve the sanitary and hygienic working conditions of the dentist, as well as the conditions of patient care.
