Abstract

A 3D game machine system in which the player 2 who moves within an environment wears a game machine 1 including (i) a 3D display 3 and (ii) a positioning device 5 which determines its position by transmitting at least one beam (such as an EM beam), receiving reflections of the beam and deducing the position of the positioning device from the reflections. The position detected by the positioning device 5 is sent to a game processor 7 which operates game software to generate image data for display by the 3D display 3.
