Abstract

The invention relates to a method of improving the purification result in treating wastewater in biological aerated ponds by introducing after the aerated pond (2) and ahead of a following after-sedimentation (4), if any, a biofilm process (3) having a carrier material for microbial growth which is kept completely or partly in suspension and movement by blowing air into the process.
