Abstract

A method for compacting powder into pressed articles with a machine tool uses a cylindrical powder storage container (1) that has a conical base section. Powder flows down from the base section of the container through a flexible hose (2) and into a scoop (3) which is used to fill the mould sections. The powder is forced to flow out of the container by pressing it against a conical insert (4) in the container base section whose tip is pointing upwards. Preferably the powder comprises a hard metal material.
