Abstract

Surface cover for an electrical connector unit (1) consisting of at least one connector board (2, 3) and a number of internal contacts (7) associated with the connector board, and a number of external contacts (8) associated with external electrical components, the external contacts being adapted for connection to said internal contacts. Said connector plate (2, 3) and at least said internal contacts (7) are coated with a completely covering surface layer (11) which is adapted to be locally penetrated mechanically by connection of said external contacts (8) to said internal contacts (7) such that electrical contact between connected contacts is ensured.
