Abstract

The invention entails a method for bleaching of chemical paper pulp that has been boiled and preferably oxygen delignified with viscosity and strength conserving methods for low kappa-values, preferably lower than 16, but most preferably below 10, without using high chlorine-content chemicals and utilization of a bleaching sequence including 3 steps, where the first step is QP (quality procedure) whereby the first P-step which is a specially delignified P-step, whereby the dose of peroxide is less than 10 kilo/BDMT and the mentioned P-step following delignifying acid step, preferably including a washing, as well as a second P-step following the mentioned acid step, preferably including a washing, which second P-step is an especially bleaching peroxide step, whereby the peroxide dose is greater than 5 kilo/BDMT and is greater than the amount of peroxide that was added in the first mentioned step.
