Abstract

A double wire former for producing a fiber web, specifically a paper web, from a fiber suspension. The double wire former includes two wires which together form a double wire, at least one double wire dewatering zone, and at least one dewatering slat in the double wire dewatering zone. The at least one dewatering slat is provided with a number of adjustment devices across the width of the paper web which influence, limited in width, the position of the contact surface of the dewatering slat.
