Abstract

A piston-cylinder assembly for load handling arrangements and comprising at least two cylinders cooperating with mechanical machine components. The two cylinders (3, 6) are successively aligned along the longitudinal axis and in parallel with a frame (1) or the like along which a carriage, slide (17) or the like is movable; one (3) of the said cylinders is axially rigidly connected to the frame (1) at its top end; and the piston rod (4) of said cylinder (3) is rigidly connected with the piston rod (5) and piston of the oppositely directed second cylinder (6), upon displacement of said piston in the first cylinder (3) the second cylinder (6) being displaced, a mechanical transmission is mounted between said second cylinder (6) and the carriage (7) or the like, for utilizing the relative movement between the second cylinder (6) and the piston rod (4, 5) connecting said second cylinder to the first cylinder (3), to move said carriage (7) a longer distance than the relative movement between said second cylinder (6) and said rod piston (4, 5).
