Abstract
The invention relates to a method for absorbing the acidifying gaseous components of flue gases generated, for instance, when burning fossil fuels or waste materials, by supplying finely-ground burnt lime (CaO) to the system. The burnt lime is supplied (8) in powder form within a section in which the flue gases have a temperature of from 65 DEG C to 180 DEG C and a moisture content between 3 and 40 % by volume.
