Abstract

A device for flushing especially wires of paper making machines with a cleaning fluid. The flushing device comprises a drive means transmitting rotary motion of a reversible direction (not shown in Fig.), a motion converter (1) converting the rotary motion to a reciprocating, linear one, and a flushing means (2) ejecting flushing jets and having an inlet (52) for cleaning fluid. The motion converter (1) comprises a motion screw with associated nut, one part of which is connected to the drive means for taking up the rotary motion thereof and the other part of which is connected to an output shaft (10) from the motion converter (1) to apply a linear movement to this, which will be reciprocating by changing the direction of rotation of the drive means. The shaft (10) is connected via a rod (54) to an interior pipe (30) of the flushing means (2) provided with flushing nozzles (31), the interior pipe (30) externally being provided with a number of bearing means (33) slidingly connected to this, the flushing means (2) comprising an outer pipe (32) surrounding the interior pipe (30) and provided with an opening (34) for the flushing jets.
