Abstract

The invention concerns a method for fixing a moulding (5) on a projectile or grenade body (1) during the production of projectiles or explosive devices such as artillery grenades. In order to retaina strong joint and simple fixture method which can be used to, a large extent, independently of the projectile or grenade body's (1) form or calibre, the moulding (5) is produced via thermal spraying of the moulding material (4) directly onto the projectile or grenade body (1) during its simultaneous rotation. The moulding (5) is then modified along with any drill grooves (6, 7) to its required design from the material (4) sprayed on the projectile or grenade body (1).<IMAGE>
