Abstract

A fish-breeding basin comprises a vessel 1 with water inlet and outlet. The vessel has a bottom 2 lightly sloping towards its centre, and at its centre a depression 3 serving as a sludge- collecting compartment is arranged. A cylinder 5 with sieve openings is arranged in the vessel, and an outlet tube 6 is arranged inside the cylinder. The outlet tube serves as an overflow, and has outlet openings for sludge at its lower portion. The outlet tube is arranged to be movable from a normal position of operation, in which the outlet openings are situated below the sludge-collecting compartment, into another sludge-draining position, in which the outlet openings are situated in the sludge- collecting compartment. <IMAGE>
