Abstract

"METHOD FOR THE PRODUCTION OF GREASEPROOF PAPER" A greaseproof pulp is produced by bleaching an oxygen-alkali delignified high yield sulphate pulp with chlorine, alkali and hypochlorite and refining the bleached pulp. The bleaching in the hypochlorite stage may be conducted so that the pH value of the pulp at the end of this stage will be 7.0 to 8.5. The bleached pulp may be refined at a pH value of 7.0 to 10.0.
