Abstract
The invention relates to a process for the treatment of lead-containing battery scrap, characterized in that the scrap is finely comminuted and melted at 1300-1500 degrees C in an oxidizing atmosphere, after which the resulting oxide melt is reduced to metallic lead (Pb).
