Abstract

The device comprises a removable sleeve (8) of short length, made from refractory material, located below an inlet element (22) extending downwards from the lower half (21) of the mould (2). This sleeve is itself engaged in the end of a metal jacket (12) where it bears axially against a bent piece (7) made from refractory material, with the interposition of a seal (9). The whole assembly is held gripped by a cam (30) pushed by a jack (ram) (31). This arrangement makes it possible to feed either a mould via several inlets, or several moulds from only one inlet or from separate inlets. The advantage of this device lies in the fact that the sleeve (8) is easily accessible and may be rapidly replaced if required. <IMAGE>
