1520247 Particulate inhalation FISONS Ltd 24 July 1975 [10 Aug 1974] 35334/74 Heading A5B An inhalation medicament preparation which is suitable for use with a particular inhalator device Specification 1122284 comprises "soft" agglomerates 10 to 1000 microns in diameter of medicament particles at least 20% of which have diameters less than 10 microns. Medicaments specified include disodium cromoglycate isoprenaline and 1, 3- bis(2carboxychromon-5-yloxy)propan-2-ol. The agglomerates may also include a diluent, binder or surface active agent, water colouring or sweetening. They may be prepared by rendering the particles adhesive, e.g. by exposing them to a moist atmosphere and then forcing them through a sieve of suitable mesh size. The agglomerates are normally enclosed in capsules.
