Abstract

The invention relates to a method for configuring components in an air treatment system, e.g. a Heating and Ventilating Air-Conditioning (HVAC) system. The air treatment system comprises one or several components being flow control components, sensor components or input control components. The components are connected to a central control system when the components are configured and the air treatment system is in use. The components are provided with an Electronic Control Unit (ECU) and a transmitter and/or receiver for sending input signal to and/or receiving an output signal from the central control system wherein The configuration method comprises three the steps of whereof the first is preparation in which at least one the component with component ID is located at its intended position in the air ventilation system and an identifier is provided with system IDs for the components in the system. The second step is a selection procedure in which the physical location of the desired component is identified where after an identifier identify the desired component via wireless communication by reading a marking on the component. Thereafter follows the third and last step which is configuration wherein the component Id is paired with the system location ID.
