Abstract

A submergible sensor hub (100) for detecting heavy metals in a water body includes a housing (102) with a measurement cell (110) and a measurement cell door (164) moveable between an open position and a closed position for retaining a sample of the water body. The sensor hub (100) also includes a sensor assembly (118) with at least one electrode (158) mounted within the measurement cell (110) and configured to generate a signal for performing an anodic stripping voltammetry (ASV) process. A valve actuator (168) is operatively coupled to the measurement cell door (164) and configured to move the measurement cell door (164) between the open position and the closed position for capture and release of the sample of the water body within the measurement cell (110).
