Polyetylenglykol hade ungefärligen samma effekt som Orabase som sàrlâkande bärare för fibronektin, Sepharose visade iakttagbar effekt efter 9 dagars behandling och paraffingel endast efter 11 dagar.
Från vad som känt i tekniken synes framgå att fibronektin, i motsats till dess etablerade sårläkande effekt då det transporteras till såret genom kroppens vätskor, visar dålig eller, som bäst, medelmáttig effekt vid lokal admini- strering. Det synes också att sådan lokal effekt erhålles endast med bärare, som har hög vattenhalt eller innehåller förhållandevis små mängder hydrofoba ingredienser. Ett problem med bärarna eller bärarsystemen med hög vattenhalt är att de visar tendens att torka och lätt kan avlägsnas genom vatten eller svett.

Exempel 1 I en 0,3 l bägare smältes 31 g vitt vaselin, 3 g flytande paraffin, 8,5 g cetostearylalkohol, 7,5 g polysorbat 40 (Tween® 40), 2 g neutralolja (Myglyol® 812), 5 g poly- etylenglykol och 3 g glycerolmonostearat, och blandades vid 70° C och emulgerades med 40 g vatten. Blandningen kyldes till 35° C och 0,4 ml av en vattenlösning innehållande 0,9 vikt-% natriumklorid och 0,01 vikt-% fibronektin från häst tillsattes.
Förfarandet upprepades med humant respektive bovint fibronektin.

Exempel 4 Sårläkningsförsök på nötkreatur (fältförsök) Trettiofyra kor med olika slags sår (juver, spenar, sidor- na, ovanför klöven, brännsär, o.s.v.) behandlades med salvan enligt exempel 1 (bovint fibronektin). Försöken utfördes och utvärderades av ett antal erfarna veterinärer.
I 31 fall rapporterades förbättrad läkning (kortare läk- ningstid än förväntad eller överlägsen minskning av sär- ytan). Emellertid verkade salvan sakna effekt mot mastit.
Under fältförsöken visade salvan god stabilitet i regnigt eller fuktigt väder. I motsats till salvor med hög vatten- halt hade salvan enligt uppfinningen den ytterligare för- delen att kunna appliceras och vara stabil vid temperaturer under 0° C.
Claims (8)
1.
