Abstract
The device has components (34-39) which are allocated collectively to all of the connected telephone channels, and a plurality of modules (40-47) to which a telephone channel is allocated in each case. Each of these modules (40-47) includes components for converting analog signals into digital pulses and vice versa. Furthermore, each group contains ringing signal transformers and ringing signal transmitters. Each of these modules (40-47) can be set independently of the others to one of a plurality of operating conditions, these operating conditions enabling the interaction of the device with different types of transmission devices. For this purpose, operating devices assigned to the individual modules are provided on the housing front panel (3).
