Abstract

A weight determining system (1) for arrangement on a barbell or dumb bell (10) having a weight assembly (11-13). The system (1) comprises a first part (21) at least comprising a transmitter, to be placed on one side of the weight assembly (11-13), and which is configured to transmit an input signal through the weight assembly (11-13); a second part (22) at least comprising a receiver, to be placed on the opposite side of the weight assembly (11-13) from the first part (21), and which is configured to receive an output signal (I2), being an attenuated input signal. The system (1) is in operative communication with a control module (30) which is configured to compare the output signal (I2) with the input signal and determine the weight of the weight assembly (11-13) at least based on this comparison.
