Abstract

The present invention relates to the use of an animal feed additive composition for control of undesired microbial growth, the composition comprising, glycerol ester selected from the group consisting of; mono-, di- and tripropionin, -butyrin, -valerin and mixtures thereof, vegetable oil, tannin, and/or saponins, and caseinate.The present invention also relates to the use of the animal feed additive for promoting intestine growth, alleviating or mitigating effects from necrotic enteritis, modulating gut flora and/or as an additive to drinking water.
