Abstract

The present disclosure relates to a food product comprising fungi biomass and a food additive, the fungi biomass comprising a filamentous mycelium network wherein the food additive is present in an amount of 0.05% by weight or more of the total weight of the fungi biomass and the food additive, wherein the food additive is integrated in the filamentous mycelium network. The present disclosure furthermore relates to a method for preparing a food product comprising fungi biomass and a food additive and the use of a food product comprising fungi biomass and a food additive for preparing a meat-replacement consumer product.
