Abstract

The access point (AP) in the wireless local area network (WLAN) generates a signal representing the air propagation time for the radio waves and a device dynamically adapts the time frames depending on the signal, in order to provide communication with an increased range. - The AP dynamically selects a free frequency channel in the television distribution frequency band. A WLAN terminal dynamically adapts itself to the selected frequency channel. The AP and terminal use the selected frequency channel for radio-based telecommunication and data communication.
