Abstract

The present invention relates generally to a method and system for handling mobile station phonebook contents in a mobile radio communication system. Mobile station phonebook contents, stored on a mobile station, are transferred to a server and stored in a server phonebook as server phonebook contents, the mobile station phonebook contents being associated with a subscription to services in a mobile radio network. The server phonebook contents can then be retrieved to a mobile station associated with the subscription to services at the time of retrieval. The server phonebook contents are altered when the phonebook contents, stored on the mobile station associated with the subscription to services, are altered.
