Abstract
FIELD: nonferrous metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: when processing slags in electrofurnace, including charging slags and applying voltage on electrodes of opposite polarity installed in alternating order and combined into two groups one of which is placed on the furnace bottom, polarity of groups is periodically reversed simultaneously with varying their mutual deepening into the smelt. Invention may also be used in iron molding and chemical industry. EFFECT: essentially reduced consumption of electrodes and lowered loss of valuable components with waste slags.
