Abstract

FIELD: nonwoven materials. SUBSTANCE: the invention covers a layer of nonwoven material which consists, mainly, of short polyolefin fibers. Nonwoven layer is nonwoven web, mainly, arbitrary oriented in plane of layer with fibers 40-100 mm long with tensile strength, at least, of 1.2 GPa and modulus of elasticity, at least, of 40 GPa. The invention also deals with the method of production of such woven web and layer structure in which nonwoven web is used. Layer structures including layer of nonwoven material according to the present invention offer improved specific absorption of chock energy of ballistic projectiles. EFFECT: higher efficiency.
