Abstract

FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves concurrently exposing a patient to acoustic and light signal action. Acoustic accompaniment (action) consists of music program and marine surf noise synchronized with testee breathing frequency. The procedure is carried out according to a program operating in 4 modes. Exposure intensity corresponds to a level selected by a testee. Then the exposure intensity is reduced by 40% during 7 min (relaxation mode). Normalization mode is to be applied for 3 min with acting signal intensity retained constant. Intensity rises during 3 min to reach the initial level (activation mode). Correspondence of exposure frequency to breathing frequency is achieved due to breathing feedback applied so that acoustic and light signal operation takes place each breathing cycle, signal intensity and duration change depending both on exhale parameters and device program. EFFECT: enhanced effectiveness in supporting working capacity of operator.

The invention relates to medicine, physiology of labor, engineering psychology and can be used to restore performance and relieve the psychophysiological stress of a human operator. The proposed relaxation method is carried out by exposing a person to both sound and light signals. Sound accompaniment (impact) consists of a musical program and the sound of the surf, which is synchronized with the respiratory rate of the subject. The session runs through a program consisting of 4 modes. Moreover, during the first 2 minutes the adaptation mode is carried out. The intensity of exposure corresponds to the level established by the subjects. Then, within 7 minutes (relaxation mode), the intensity of exposure decreases by 40%. Then, for 3 minutes, the normalization mode is carried out at a constant intensity of the acting signals, and then for 3 minutes (activation mode) the intensity increases to the initial level. Correspondence of the frequency of exposure with the frequency of respiration occurs due to the application of feedback on respiration, and the appearance of light and sound signals occurs for each breath, and the change in the intensity and duration of the signals depends both on the exhalation parameters and on the program of the device.
