Изобретение относится к области нефтепереработки, в частности к способам приготовления шариковых катализаторов для риформинга бензиновых фракций. В основу изобретения положена техническая задача создать способ приготовления шарикового катализатора для риформинга бензиновых фракций, который позволил бы повысить селективность и стабильность катализатора, уменьшил бы его истираемость в процессе работы. Предлагается способ приготовления шарикового катализатора для риформинга бензиновых фракций, содержащего активные компоненты - платину, галоген, промотор на носителе - активном оксиде алюминия, путем растворения алюминийсодержащего реагента в водном растворе азотной кислоты или нитрата алюминия с образованием золя гидроксисоли алюминия, нейтрализации полученного золя водным раствором аммиака до достижения pH не менее 11,0, обработки полученной суспензии раствором азотной кислоты или нитрата алюминия до достижения мольного отношения NO3 : Al, равного 0,7 - 1,3, с последующим упариванием золя до концентрации алюминия 110 - 140 г/л, капельного формования золя в формообразующей жидкости и созревания сферических гранул гидроксида алюминия, отмывки, сушки, прокаливания, пропитки полученного носителя активными компонентами, сушки и прокаливания катализатора. В качестве алюминийсодержащего реагента используют металлический алюминий или смесь алюминия с гидроксидом алюминия. В качестве формообразующей жидкости используют 6 - 30% водный раствор аммиака.
