Claims (1)

Intermittent pump operation does not adversely affect fuel metering accuracy. Preferably, the pump delivers fuel to a closed chamber that runs on the accumulator, and the pressure sensor supplies a signal to the electronic control unit indicating the pressure of the fuel entering the dispenser from the accumulator. Alternatively, a predetermined fuel level may be maintained in the chamber at constant or variable pressure.
