Abstract

A protective device to household stoves is designed to prevent unauthorized access of young children to gas and electric stoves. The device includes a case with side walls and one or two mechanisms for fixing the protective device in vertical and horizontal positions fixed on the inside of the case, with holes or slots made on the side walls of the case. The housing can be made with sectional sliding elements. The housing may be made of a transparent material. On the inside of the case, a sound signaling mechanism may be installed. The protective device is universal, it locks all controls on household stoves and prevents children from accessing cookware on the stove during cooking or cooling, is compatible with all types of gas and electric stoves without making changes to the design of stoves and their technical characteristics.

A utility model is claimed - a protective device to prevent unauthorized access of young children to domestic gas and electric stoves.

There are various safety devices that prevent heating of the surface without installing dishes, as well as automatically shutting off the gas supply in case of extinguishing the flame when pouring boiling food or temporarily stopping the gas supply (RF patent No. 2082918, copyright certificates No. 1807299, 1775588, etc.), built-in in the construction of household stoves.

No devices have been identified to protect children from burns and other injuries in the event of unintentional overturning of hot food standing on the stove or preventing children from turning on household stoves.

The task to be solved during the development of this utility model was to exclude burns and other injuries to children due to their free access to the working surface of household stoves with an oversight by the parents.

The technical result consists in the creation of a universal protective device that locks all controls on household stoves and prevents children from accessing the dishes on the stove while cooking or cooling, compatible with all types of gas and electric stoves without making changes to the stove design and their technical characteristics .

This result is achieved in that the protective device includes a housing with side walls and one or two mechanisms for fixing the protective device in vertical and horizontal positions fixed on the inside of the housing, while holes or slots are made on the side walls of the housing.

This result is also achieved when performing the device body with sectional sliding elements.

This result is also achieved when the device case is made of transparent material.

This result is also achieved when the sound signal supply mechanism is installed on the inside of the device body.

The implementation of the protective device in the form of a housing with side walls ensures the blocking of all controls of household stoves, as well as preventing children from accessing the dishes on the stove while cooking or cooling, compatible with all types of gas and electric stoves without making changes to the design of stoves and their specifications.

Making holes or slots on the side walls of the housing makes it easy to attach the device to the housing stove or kitchen furniture, allows you to rotate or move the protective device either to the vertical lower position to lock all controls of the household stoves, or to the vertical upper position to prevent children from accessing the dishes standing on the stove during cooking or when it cools, or in a horizontal working position.

The implementation of the protective device with one or two mechanisms for fixing the protective device in vertical and horizontal positions ensures reliable fixation of the device in various positions, eliminates the free movement of the device and, thus, unauthorized access of children to the controls of household stoves and dishes standing on the stove.

The implementation of the protective device with two locking mechanisms provides a more reliable fixation of the device in various positions.

The implementation of the housing of the protective device with sectional sliding elements prevents children from accessing the oven and provides additional shielding of the working oven from heat radiation.

The implementation of the housing of the device from a transparent material also provides for blocking all the controls of household stoves, as well as preventing children from accessing the dishes standing on the stove while cooking or cooling down.

Installation on the inside of the housing of the audio signal supply mechanism provides an audio signal when the child tries to rotate the protective device to another position.

Thus, the above set of features allows you to provide a new technical result: the creation of a universal protective device that locks all controls of household stoves and prevents children from accessing the dishes on the stove while cooking or cooling, compatible with all types of gas and electric stoves without making changes in the design of plates and their technical characteristics.

The inventive utility model is illustrated using the drawings, where Fig. 1 shows a general view of a protective device, and Fig. 2 is a view of a protective device with sectional sliding elements.

The protective device for household stoves (see figure 1) is a housing 1 with side walls 2, 3, 4, 5 with fixing mechanisms 6 and 7 fixed to the inner side of the housing 1. One fixing mechanism can be fixed on the inside of the housing 1 (not shown), located both on one of the side walls 3 or 4, and in the central part of the housing 1. The housing 1 can be made of metal, or of a transparent material, for example, heat-resistant glass, or other material. As the housing 1 can be used such an element of the stove as the back wall of the gas stove, manufactured by industry and which

temporarily can be used for these purposes (see photo). Holes 8 are made on the side wall 2 of the housing 1 or on the side walls 3 and 4 to accommodate the axis of the fastening mechanism (not shown) of the protective device to the housing of the cooker or to kitchen furniture, which allows the housing 1 to rotate to various positions. On the side walls 3 and 4, slots can be made for fastening and moving the housing 1 in a sliding way. As the mechanism for attaching the protective device with the possibility of rotation or movement of the housing 1 by a sliding method, any of the known or commercially available mechanisms can be selected.

The locking mechanism 6 allows you to lock the device in several positions and can be performed, for example, in the form of a leaf spring 9 with locking fingers 10 and 11, or in the form of a pin with a handle (not shown in the drawing), a spring and a clamp, or in some other form.

On the inner side of the housing 1 can be installed a mechanism for supplying an audio signal 12.

The housing 1 can be made (see figure 2) with several (in this embodiment, with four) sectional sliding elements 13, 14, 15 and 16 to prevent children from accessing the oven and additionally shielding the working oven from thermal radiation.

The protective device is used as follows.

The housing 1 is attached to the household cooker by any fixing mechanism through the holes 6. To install the protective device in the selected position, the housing 1 is manually rotated or moved and fixed with the locking mechanism 6 or two locking mechanisms 6 and 7, pressing and releasing, in this embodiment, the fixing fingers 11 of the two fixing mechanisms 6 and 7. The device can be easily installed and dismantled by the consumer himself, including for washing the surface of the stove or kitchen furniture.

The protective device is universal, it locks all controls on household stoves and prevents children from accessing cookware on the stove during cooking or cooling, is compatible with all types of gas and electric stoves without making changes to the stove design and their technical characteristics.

A protective device for household stoves, comprising a housing with side walls and one or two mechanisms for fixing the protective device in vertical and horizontal positions fixed on the inside of the housing, with holes or slots made on the side walls of the housing. 2.
