Description

The invention relates to the field of cosmetic accessories, in particular to multifunctional hand makeup brushes, and can be used for household and professional purposes.

To achieve beautiful makeup, you need not only high-quality cosmetics but also good tools. Professional makeup artists have dozens of different brushes at their disposal, varying in purpose, size, bristles, and head shapes.

Many makeup artists prefer brushes with natural bristles (sable and squirrel, or stiffer goat). However, synthetics are typically used for cream products, as natural bristles are highly absorbent and wear out quickly. Synthetic brushes are typically made of nylon (budget options) or taklon (more expensive). The former is firmer, while the latter is softer and more natural-looking. Makeup artists also favor duofiber brushes—two bristles of both natural and synthetic bristles of varying lengths. They are convenient for applying liquid, cream, and gel products, as well as mineral makeup, "buffing" it into the skin.

In this regard, the makeup artist has a whole arsenal of brushes at hand:

- a large fluffy powder brush - usually with a rounded tip (the exception is "polishing" brushes);

- A blush brush – similar in shape but smaller, with a round, angled tip, perfect for contouring the face and highlighting cheekbones. A large fan brush is the best choice for this type of makeup.

- a brush for foundation, liquid or cream blush, highlighters and similar products - flat (for thick textures), with a rounded edge, or duofiber (for more liquid ones);

- concealer brush - a smaller version of a foundation brush;

- Eyeshadow brushes of three or four different sizes for applying and blending eyeshadow. They can come in various shapes, including flat, round, or barrel-shaped. You'll only find the most comfortable brush by practicing. Small, round brushes with a rounded tip (blending brushes) are useful for blending eyeshadow.

- For defining eyebrows - a small, flat brush with an angled edge. It's also convenient for drawing eyeshadow lines;

- for eyeliner - a small round brush with a thin tip, the so-called "one" brush.

- for lipstick - a small flat brush in the shape of a tongue, it can be foldable.

The facial treatment process is a complex, non-algorithmic set of actions and manipulations performed by a makeup artist, using constantly changing brushes. Changing brushes is unnecessary, preventing the makeup artist from turning the makeup application process into a continuous process. When working on the face, the makeup artist holds the working brush in one hand, and may hold other brushes in the other. However, if the other hand is holding lipstick or eyeshadow, the work is performed with only one hand and one brush. The need for adjustments leads to one brush being put down and another brush of the required shape being picked up. These manipulations distract the makeup artist from the main task. A large number of unnecessary, repetitive movements is a characteristic of the makeup artist's work.

Currently, attempts are being made to reduce the number of these unnecessary movements by creating so-called modular brushes, made in the format of collapsible brush sets.

For example, CN 207136546 suggests each brush with a cylindrical handle with internal and external threads. In the set, one brush is screwed into the end of the handle of another brush, and the third brush is screwed with its internal thread onto the external thread of the first brush. The resulting set is a collapsible tube. However, this solution has the drawback that it is only used for storing and transporting brushes with different bristle heads, and all the brushes must be unscrewed before use. The cylindrical shape of the brushes and the fact that they are all identical and short in length are inconvenient.

CN 207693156 proposes a different modular brush solution. This patent uses a large powder brush as the base brush. A transverse axle is attached to the free end of the handle, with the handles of additional brushes mounted on each end. Locks are mounted at the ends of the axle, clamping the brush handles located at these ends. In the initial position, all additional brushes can be positioned with the bristles facing the head of the large brush. When working with one of the additional brushes, the lock on the side of this bone is loosened, and the brush is turned around the axle so that its bristles are positioned opposite the head of the large base brush. The lock is then re-fastened.

An option is possible when, before starting work, all additional brushes are removed and laid out on the table.

In any case, the design is complex and difficult to use. This solution is more reminiscent of a brush storage module.

The prototype used is the solution according to CN 206423758, A46B9/02, A46B5/00, published on August 22, 2017. This solution proposes a modular brush consisting of a base brush with a fan-shaped flat bristle head and two additional brushes of the same length, each with a single-sided fan-shaped bristle head, such that when the additional brushes are connected to the base brush, a common wide, regular, flat bristle fan is formed. The handle of the base brush contains magnets, and counter-magnets are located in the handles of the additional brushes. When assembled, the additional brushes are laid out with their handles along the handle of the base brush; this assembly is attached magnetically in the plane of the fan.

The drawback of this module is its inconvenience. The overall modular design of the module handle is unreliable, and the brushes disintegrate with the slightest force. Magnetic coupling is most effective when forces are applied perpendicular to the magnet's contact surface (aligned with the magnetic attraction vector). However, lateral forces cause the magnets to rotate, slide along the contact surface, and potentially slip. This solution lacks a means of locking the handles of the additional brushes relative to the handle of the main brush, which means that when working with this brush, one of the additional brushes may rotate and become at an angle to the handle of the main brush.

The essence of a modular makeup brush is that it is a set of brushes with different functional purposes. The traditional solution, however, doesn't actually have a set, as the module consists of fan-shaped brushes with similar uses.

The present invention is aimed at achieving a technical result consisting in increasing the ease of use by fixing additional brushes in the body of the base brush without the possibility of lateral displacement of these additional brushes.

The said technical result is achieved in that in a modular makeup brush comprising a basic brush with a handle and a bristle head and at least one removable additional brush with a handle and a bristle head, as well as permanent magnets, one of which is connected to the handle of the basic brush, and the other to the handle of the additional removable brush for fixing this additional removable brush on the handle of the basic brush, the length of the handle of the removable additional brush is made shorter than the length and smaller than the transverse size of the handle of the basic brush, and in the body of the handle of the basic brush along its length there is at least one oblong-shaped recess, repeating in plan the shape of the handle of the removable additional brush and its bristle head, wherein one of the permanent magnets is located at the bottom of the recess, and the second - in the body of the handle of the removable additional brush, which is located in the recess with the bristle head facing the bristle head of the basic brush.

The recess length may be no less than the length of the removable additional hand.

The length of the recess in the area where the bristle portion of the head of the removable additional brush is located can be made greater than the height of the bristle portion of the head of this brush.

The specified features are essential and are interconnected with the formation of a stable set of essential features sufficient to obtain the required technical result.

The present invention is explained by a specific example of implementation, which, however, is not the only possible one, but clearly demonstrates the possibility of achieving the required technical result.

The present invention discloses a new design for a modular makeup brush. Modularity means that the brush (the modular brush) consists of makeup brushes with different functional purposes: for example, a large brush 1 for applying and blending powder (Fig. 1), a brush 2 for eyeshadow (Fig. 2), a brush 3 for blending (Fig. 3), and a brush 4 for lining eyebrows (Fig. 4). These brushes are not the only ones that can be used; other combinations are possible. However, all brushes differ in the size of the bristles and the shape and size of the handle, in particular, in thickness and length.

In general, the claimed invention has the following execution algorithm:

- the presence of a basic brush 1 with a handle 5 and a bristle head 6;

- the presence of at least one removable additional brush (2-4) with a handle 7 and a bristle head 8 (it is implied that there can be one, two, three or four such removable brushes);

- the presence of permanent magnets 9, some of which are connected to the handle of the base brush, and others to the handle of each additional removable brush (for securing this additional removable brush to the handle of the base brush);

- the handle of the removable additional hand is made shorter in length and smaller in transverse size than the handle of the basic hand;

- making in the body of the handle of the basic brush along its length at least one oblong-shaped depression 10, repeating in plan the shape of the handle of the removable additional brush and its bristle head;

- the location of some permanent magnets at the bottom of the recess or of each recess (if there is more than one recess), and others in the body of the handle of the removable additional hand;

- the location of the bristle head of the removable additional brush in the recess facing the bristle head of the base brush.

Additional features of the claimed invention include the possibility of the recess being no longer than the length of the removable additional brush (Fig. 5) or shorter than the length of the removable additional brush (Fig. 6). Furthermore, the length of the recess 10 in the area where the bristle portion of the removable additional brush head is located may be greater than the height of the bristle portion of the brush head. This will prevent the bristle portion, which contains makeup residue, from being crushed and will not contaminate the walls of the recess itself.

Below, a specific embodiment of a modular makeup brush is discussed with reference to Figs. 1-7.

The modular brush device is a modular cosmetic accessory that includes:

- main brush 1, made in the form of a powder brush with the ability to place and fix removable brushes 2-4 in the recess (along the height of the recess on the sides, it is possible to make a cut for a comfortable grip of the removable brush with fingers);

- removable brushes (at least one), differing in shape and functional purpose, for example: eyeshadow brush; blending brush; angled eyebrow/eyeliner brush.

The handle and base of the brushes are made of plastic, but can also be made of wood, for example. The bristles can be made of synthetic hypoallergenic fiber or the hair of various animals.

All brushes have the same shape: an elongated handle ends in a small extension 11, which is the head in which the bristle part 7 is fixed. The head and the bristle part form the bristle head.

The handle of the base brush (usually a powder brush, as it is produced in larger sizes) is pierced with one or more oblong indentations 10, forming recesses for storing 2-4 smaller additional brushes. The plan view of this recess mirrors the shape of the additional brush. The additional brushes fit into these recesses and are not displaced laterally or along the handle of the base brush due to the shape of the bristle head. A permanent magnet 9 is attached to the bottom of each recess, and a similar permanent magnet is embedded in the handle of each additional brush.

Either a metal magnet or a polymer magnet can be used (a polymer magnet, or magnetoplast, is a magnet made from a mixture of magnetic powder and a polymer binder). The magnet's size is not important; it can be made as a point magnet.

In the initial position, as shown in Figs. 5-7, the additional brushes are stored in the recesses and secured with a magnetic link. This creates a compact, convenient assembly. When needed, the user removes the desired additional brush by lifting it from the magnet in the recess.

The depth of the recess in area 12, where the bristles of the detachable brush head are located, is greater than the height of the bristles of the brush head itself. This creates a free cavity in this part of the recess. This prevents the bristles from collapsing, which can retain makeup residue or traces, and also prevents the walls of the recess from becoming dirty.

In this case, the free cavity zone may have a transverse size greater than the width of the bristle part of the brush so that one brush with a certain bristle shape can be replaced with another brush with a different bristle shape, for example, a narrow bristle part with a wide one.

The full length of the recess can be made no less than the length of the handle of the removable additional hand (Fig. 5), or the length of the recess can be made less than the length of the removable additional hand (Fig. 6). In the latter case, part of the handle of the additional hand is extended from the body of the handle of the basic hand.

The recesses on different sides of the brush handle, for placing brushes on different sides, can flow into each other through the base of the brush handle, forming a single recess.

Additional brushes can be fully recessed or partially recessed into the recesses. Part of the handle may extend beyond the surface of the base brush handle.

This design of the modular brush provides:

- compact storage and transportation of brushes due to their placement in the body of one handle;

- versatility of use: one product replaces 2-4 brushes;

- maintaining hygiene due to the removable design, allowing for easy cleaning of components;

- increasing consumer value through intuitive assembly.

- simultaneously ensuring hygiene, compactness and ease of transportation.

Ease of use is also ensured by the fact that all the bristle parts of the additional brushes are located in the area of the head of the main brush, that is, outside the area where the main brush is grasped by the hand.

This industrially applicable model reduces brush handling time and provides compact storage for a variety of brushes. Furthermore, the brushes don't fall apart, and the removable brushes don't slip out of their sockets. It's also possible to swap out an unsuitable or uncomfortable brush for another when changing makeup routines.

A modular makeup brush comprising a basic brush with a handle and a bristle head and at least one removable additional brush with a handle and a bristle head, as well as permanent magnets, one of which is connected to the handle of the basic brush, and the other to the handle of the additional removable brush for securing this additional removable brush on the handle of the basic brush, characterized in that the length of the handle of the removable additional brush is made shorter than the length and smaller than the transverse size of the handle of the basic brush, and in the body of the handle of the basic brush along its length there is at least one oblong-shaped recess, repeating in plan the shape of the handle of the removable additional brush and its bristle head, wherein one of the permanent magnets is located at the bottom of the recess, and the second is in the body of the handle of the removable additional brush, which is located in the recess with the bristle head facing the bristle head of the basic brush. 2. A brush according to item 1, characterized in that the length of the recess is not less than the length of the removable additional brush. 3. A brush according to item 1, characterized in that the length of the recess is made shorter than the length of the removable additional brush. 4. A brush according to claim 1, characterized in that the length of the recess in the area where the bristle portion of the head of the removable additional brush is located is greater than the height of the bristle portion of the head of this brush.
