Для оценки геропротекторного эффекта соединения готовили колонию тестовых организмов - плодовых мух дрозофил (Drosophila melanogaster). Мух выращивали в пенициллиновых флаконах. Для теста использовали только мух одного поколения, которых рандомно распределяли и содержали в одинаковых условиях, все манипуляции проводились одновременно. В качестве основной питательной среды использовали смесь содержащую 100 г / л пекарских дрожжей, 50 г / л сахарозы, 15 г / л агара, 30 мл и 3 мл / л пропионовой кислоты. В питательную среду в соответствующей пропорции добавляли деионизированную воду (контрольная группа) или 1,0 мМ водный раствор альфа-кетоглутарата лития (опытная группа). Далее среды распределялись по пенициллиновым флаконам, и в них вносилось по 20 мух, в каждой группе было по 5 пробирок (n=100). Мухи переселялись на свежую среду дважды в неделю, при переносе регистрировались умершие особи. Выживаемость мух оценивали с помощью теста логарифмического ранга. Оценку средней продолжительности жизни использовали параметрический критерий Стьюдента, проводили статистическую обработку результатов, определяли среднее значение и стандартное отклонение (n=100, М±σ, p<0,05).To assess the geroprotective effect of the compound, a colony of test organisms - fruit flies Drosophila (Drosophila melanogaster) - was prepared. Next, the media were distributed into penicillin vials, and 20 flies were introduced into them, each group contained 5 tubes (n = 100). Flies migrated to fresh Wednesday twice a week; during transfer, dead individuals were recorded. Fly survival was assessed using a log rank test. Average life expectancy was assessed using the parametric Student's test, statistical processing of the results was carried out, the mean and standard deviation were determined (n = 100, M ± σ, p <0.05).

В присутствии альфа-кетоглутарата лития средняя продолжительность жизни составила 10,2±1,1 дней, тогда как в контроле 9,5±0,8 дня. Таким образом, средняя продолжительность жизни увеличилась на 7,4% в сравнении с контролем.
