Prior to hilling-up, bars of barbed wire are installed vertically into potato bushes. Bars are fixed in soil with formation of free ends above it. Potatoes are hilled-up keeping wire rods in vertical position. After hilling-up, plate with inscription is installed, which warns that plantings are protected with barbed wire. Prior to potato harvesting bars are removed from soil and plate is dismantled.

EFFECT: harvest preservation is provided.

The invention relates to agriculture, in particular, to methods of cultivating potatoes in gardens, in summer cottages and household plots.

The disadvantage of this method is that it is focused on protecting the crop from birds.

The objective of the invention is to provide a method of cultivating potatoes while ensuring the preservation of the crop.

The invention consists in the following. Before hilling, barbed wire rods are installed vertically in the potato bushes and at the same time they are fixed in the soil with the formation of free ends above the soil. Then the potatoes are spudded, keeping the wire rods upright. At the end of the hilling operation, a plate with an inscription is set in or near the potato plantation warning that the plantings are protected by barbed wire. Before harvesting the potatoes, the rods are removed from the soil and at the same time the plate is dismantled. As a result, the person, having received information from the tablet and making sure that the barbed wire in the potato bushes, does not dare to encroach on the crop, and this ensures its safety with the greatest probability. The presence of a warning sign allows you to humanely affect a person and prevents dangerous consequences.
