Abstract

FIELD: rails.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to joint of contact rails of subway. Joint of contact rails of subway with improved electric conductivity contains docked contact rails, steel straps arranged on both sides of rails in joint area, bolts and nuts with the help of which steel straps are fixed to jointed contact rails. Joint also comprises copper plates 35×14×400 mm, providing permissible continuous current 7,000 A, located on outer sides of steel straps, and steel plates located on outer sides of copper plates.
EFFECT: as a result, manufacturability in assembly and maintenance of joint is achieved, there is no need for welding connections, which are difficult to control.

Description

Name of the invention: The junction of metro contact rails with improved electrical conductivity.

Use: power supply of the tram line of the metro lines.

The level of technology. At present, steel plates with a cross-section of 957 square meters are used on all domestic metros on the normal and temperature joints of the contact rail, and electrical conductivity is restored by welding the copper connectors SKR-120 according to TU 3424-001-00468683-95. At the normal junction there are 2 connectors, and at the temperature 4. The total cross-section of copper conductors is 240 + 480 sq. Mm. With an intensive amount of movement, such connectors are doomed to warm, because A long-term permissible current of 5,000 A of the contact rail exceeds the limit value of 3,500-A of the long permissible current for a copper conductor (bus) with a section of 480 sq.

New contact rail junction.

Figure 1 shows the contact rail joint obtained from a standard joint by adding two copper plates 35 × 14 × 400 mm and two steel plates 35 × 3 × 400 mm. The numbers in the picture are marked:

1 - pin rail

2 - steel plate

3 - steel plate 3 mm thick

Ml64 - bolt Ml6

Ml65 - nut Ml6

6 - 35 × 14 mm copper plate

The contact surfaces of the contact rail, steel plates of steel and copper plates, before assembling the joint, are cleaned to shine and covered with a thin layer of conductive paste. The nuts are tightened with a torque of 60 + 80 Nm for fixed joints and a torque of 15 + 20 Nm for a movable joint at the temperature joint.

The essence of the invention:

The presented contact joint differs from the standard joint by the presence of copper and steel plates on both sides of the joined rails and the absence of copper wire connectors, which are welded to the upper surfaces of the joined rails in the standard joint. The joint in strength characteristics is not inferior to the standard joint. And the conductivity exceeds the standard joint with copper connectors at least twice due to the doubling of the cross-section of copper plates in comparison with the total cross-section of wired connectors. The maximum continuous current becomes 7000 A, which is higher than the maximum continuous current for the RS (5000 A). Thus, the result is achieved that the joint heats up less than CR.

The joint is easy to assemble and maintain, does not need welding joints that are difficult to control. The copper parts of the joint are hidden by steel plates. This prevents theft and vandalism.
