Abstract

FIELD: weapons and ammunition.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to ammunition, specifically to cartridges for smooth-bore guns and can be used for shooting from 12, 16 calibre smooth-bore guns. Universal shell with propellant charge consists of shell flange, metal base of shell, polyethylene or plastic shell, powder. Instead of shot or bullet, universal shell used is harpoon, which is equipped with piston rings, which powder gases are pushed out of channel of smooth-bore gun. Harpoon is not integrated with universal shell, and is connected to shell through muzzle bore gun before shooting. Monitoring of location of harpoon after shooting is performed using a cord, one end of which is located movable ring of harpoon, and second end is wound on a coil, which is located next to gun and unwinds at moment of shooting.
EFFECT: result is possibility of firing harpoon from 12 and 16 calibre guns.
