Description

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

(a) Field of the Invention

The present invention relates to a device for training a game of golf, and more particularly, to a device for training a shot put and a short swing for playing golf, which helps beginners to practice the technique of putting a ball into a hole and a short swing.

(b) Description of the Related Art

To play golf, you must practice the club swing technique correctly. Constant training based on imitation allows the beginner to control the rolling or flight of the ball along the desired path in a short time. During practice, the beginner needs to correct the swing and push of the ball into the hole properly in order to develop the correct posture for the swing. However, a beginner can practice the technique of pushing the ball into the hole or swing on the green, fairway, bumps or any other places, swing and posture will be adjusted accordingly. A beginner may not be able to determine the mistake and will be able to perform the technique correctly only after a long practice.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

The present invention has been completed in view of these circumstances. Thus, the main objective of the present invention is to provide a device for training the push of the ball into the hole and a short swing for playing golf, which uses a sliding element to move forward and backward along the smoothly curved guide groove on the guide to guide the user on the swing with a golf club so that the user can correctly practice the technique of pushing the ball into the hole and a short swing.

Another objective of the present invention is the provision of a device for training putting a ball into the hole and a short swing for playing golf, which uses a support post and a sliding rod to support the guide and the sliding element so that the user can adjust the height of the guide and the sliding element in accordance with his growth.

Another objective of the present invention is the provision of a device for training pushing the ball into the hole and a short swing for playing golf, which keeps the guide tilted laterally relative to the extendable rod and the support post and has a smoothly curved guide groove, curved upward from the middle to its two distal ends so so that the user can correctly practice the technique of pushing the ball into the hole and a short swing.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS

As shown in FIGS. 1-6, a device for practicing pushing a ball into a hole and a short golf swing in accordance with the present invention comprises a guide 1, a sliding member 2, a pull rod 3, a support post 4 and an additional rod 5.

The guide 1 is a rail element fixedly mounted on the upper end of the extension rod 3, having a smoothly curved guide groove 11 extending along the smoothly curved upper wall between its two closed ends for the sliding direction of the sliding element 2 relative to the guide 1 (see Figure 4). In addition, the guide 1 is inclined laterally relative to the extension rod 3 (see Figure 5). The guide 1 may also be in the form of a smoothly curved rod. According to a presently preferred embodiment, the guide 1 is curved smoothly upward from the middle to the two closed ends.

The sliding element 2, as shown in FIG. 2, is attached to the guide 1 and is arranged to move forward and backward along the smoothly curved guide groove 11. The connecting structure between the sliding element 2 and the guide 1 can be made in various ways. According to a presently preferred embodiment, the sliding member 2 and the guide 1 constitute a linear guide structure. For example, linear ball bearings 21 are provided between the sliding member 2 and the guide 1 to direct the sliding of the sliding member 2 relative to the guide 1 (see FIG. 7).

The upper end of the draw bar 3 is fixedly attached to the middle part of the guide 1 and its lower end is inserted into the support post 4. Preferably, the draw bar 3 can be moved vertically to and from the support post 4 and is fixed to be adjusted to the support post 4 at a desired height. The quick release means or the fixing means can be used to secure the extension bar 4 to the rail 1 at a selected height.

The support column 4 is adapted for location on the floor. According to a presently preferred embodiment, the bottom plate 6 is fixedly mounted to the bottom side of the support post 4 to support the support post 4 on a flat surface. The bottom plate 6 has two footprints 61, printed on its upper wall as a guide.

An additional rod 5 is attached to one side of the sliding element 2 to guide the user on the swing pattern. The additional shaft 5 has a mounting plate 51 located at one end thereof, for fixing the sliding element 2, and a bearing extension 52 extending from its other end to attach the golf club 7 (for example, putter) (see Fig. 7).

After installing the device for training the push of the ball into the hole and a short swing for playing golf, the sliding element 2 can move forward and backward along the smoothly curved guide groove 11 of the guide 1. Thus, the user can attach the golf club 7 (for example, putter) to the carrier lengthening 52 of the additional shaft 5 and then moving the golf club 7 and the additional shaft 5 with the sliding element 2 relative to the guide 1, in order to practice the technique of pushing the ball into the hole and short swing. Figures 9 and 10 show the use of a device for training a putt of a ball in a hole and a short swing for playing golf to simulate a putt of a ball in a hole.

In addition, the length of the smoothly curved guide groove 11 of the guide 1 can be adjusted to meet various training requirements. For the practice of pushing the ball into the hole, the length of the smoothly curved guide groove 11 of the guide 1 can be correspondingly longer. The design of the guide 1 shown in the drawings is merely an example of the present invention, but is not intended to be a limitation.

As described above, the guide 1 is inclined laterally relative to the extension rod 3. After fixing the mounting plate 51 of the additional shaft 5 to the sliding element 2 on the guide 1, the bearing extension 52 of the additional shaft 5 is kept inclined in one direction (see FIG. 5). When the user attaches the golf club 7 to the bearing extension 52 of the additional shaft 5 and holds the golf club 7 and the extension 52 with his hands, the golf club 7 is held at the right angle (see FIG. 10) to push the ball into the hole or swing. The guide 1 can also be attached to the extension rod 3 without tilting, and the additional rod 5 can be bent to keep the extension 52 inclined to maintain the golf club 7 at the right angle for practicing pushing the ball into the hole or swing.

The additional rod 5 and the sliding element 2 can also be made integral. For example, one end of the sliding element 2 extends outward to form the desired additional shaft 5 having the required bearing extension 52.

11 shows an alternative embodiment of a device for practicing pushing a ball into a hole and a short swing for playing golf in accordance with the present invention. This alternative is essentially the same as that shown in FIGS. 1-10, with the exception that the additional shaft 5 is attached to the sliding element 2 from the front side relative to the guide 1 or from the back side relative to the guide 1, while the device for training the push of the ball in a hole and a short swing for golfing achieves the same effects.

Although specific embodiments of the invention have been described in detail for illustrative purposes, various modifications and improvements can be made without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention. Accordingly, the invention is limited only by the attached claims.

Claims (8)

1. A device for training put the ball into the hole and a short swing for playing golf, containing
a support stand adapted for positioning on a surface;
a sliding rod mounted on said support column, said sliding rod having an upper end and a lower end, and said lower end is inserted into said supporting column;
a guide fixedly mounted on the upper side of said extendable bar, said guide having a smoothly curved guide chute extending along its smoothly curved upper wall;
a sliding member attached to said guide and arranged to move forward and backward along said curved guide trough of said guide; and
an additional rod attached to one side of said sliding element and arranged to move with said sliding element along said curved guide groove of said guide to guide the user on the swing with a golf club, one end of said additional rod being attached to said sliding element, and its opposite end ends with a bearing extension for supporting the golf club by the user. 2. The device according to claim 1, wherein said guide is inclined laterally at a predetermined angle relative to said draw bar. 3. The device according to claim 1, in which said guide is smoothly curved upward from the middle part to its two distal ends. 4. The device according to claim 1, in which said guide and sliding element constitute a linear guide structure. 5. The device according to claim 1, additionally containing a lower plate fixedly mounted on the lower side of said support post to support said support post. 6. The device according to claim 1, in which said additional rod and said sliding element are made in one piece. 7. The device according to claim 1, in which said additional rod is attached to said sliding element from the front side relative to said guide. 8. The device according to claim 1, in which said additional rod is attached to said sliding element on the back side relative to said guide.
