SUBSTANCE: invention proposes glass of the following composition, wt.-%: SiO2, 60.0-65.0; CaO, 6.0-10.0; K2O, 3.0-4.0; CeO2, 0.5-1.5; B2O3, 10.5-11.5; CdO, 8.0-10.0, and BaO, 4.0-6.0. The refraction index of glass is 1.65 ± 0.05, value of the temperature coefficient of linear expansion (TCLE) is (55 ± 5)°C-1 x 107. Invention provides reducing the temperature coefficient of linear expansion and increasing the refraction index of glass. Invention is designated for making articles for illumination equipments for industrial and domestic using.
