Description

 The invention relates to light industry, in particular to a filler for elements of upholstered furniture and bedding, such as: beds, chairs, sofas, poufs, mattresses, pillows and many others.

 The objective of the invention is to create comfortable furniture that allows you to redistribute the filler inside the furniture, depending on the places of pressure applied to it by a person. As a result of this, the furniture takes on the outlines of individual sections of the human body adjacent to it.

 Known furniture of this kind is described, for example, in patent US 3899210, class. A 47 C 07/02, published on 08/12/1975. This furniture in the form of a "free-form" chair contains a metal frame and a flexible shell filled with loose filler.

 A disadvantage of the known chair is that after removing the load created by the body of a seated person, it does not restore its original shape. Therefore, in the case of further use, it is necessary to smooth the surface of the shell of the chair each time in order to achieve close to its original shape.

 Also known items of upholstered furniture described in patents RU 2093057 and 2150223, CL. A 47 C 3/16, published on 10/20/1997 and 10/06/2000. accordingly, in which the aforementioned drawback is partially eliminated.

 These pieces of furniture, along with a filler of particles capable of overflowing, contain means for restricting changes in their shape, placed in the shell of pieces of furniture, made in the form of flexible coupling elements and at least one pneumatic container, which can, depending on the owner’s desire, change the degree of filling air through a hose connected to a hand pump.

 The disadvantage of this furniture is the low degree of its reliability in operation, since the indicated container can be damaged, including by particles of bulk material, or as a result of violation of the locking device of the hose, air can be removed from it.

 The technical result of the invention is to improve the operational properties and ease of use of furniture with the proposed design of the filler, as well as the expansion of its functionality.

 The specified technical result was achieved due to the fact that the filler for a piece of furniture or bedding is made in the form of loose disparate particles of a polymeric material capable of moving (flowing) relative to each other. Each particle is a deformable capsule having an airtight shell filled with a gas such as air, carbon dioxide or another suitable gas for this purpose, or with elastic foam material.

 Capsules can have a variety of shapes, for example, they can have different shapes of bodies of revolution, such as an ellipsoid or a ball. In a preferred embodiment, the capsules are in the form of beans.

 The capsule is filled with gas under pressure, corresponding to the required stiffness of the filler, depending on the purpose of the furniture or its parts.

 The capsule shell is made of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) or polypropylene (PP). Also, other suitable polymeric materials may be used for its manufacture.

 The thickness of the shell varies from 0.01 to 0.6 mm and also depends on the particular piece of furniture.

 Capsules may be the same or different in size, one-colored or multi-colored, at least one of them may be filled with aromatic substance. According to the proposed solution, in any piece of furniture or bedding, at least one means can be provided that limits the change in its (her) form. For example, in such an object as a mattress, or a pillow, this means is installed at least one partition inside it (it), which prevents the capsule particles from spreading excessively over its volume. For a variety of appearance, especially with regard to children's furniture, or bedding, the flexible shell of any specified product, for example, a mattress or pillow, can be made of mesh material, and the capsules enclosed in it can have a different shape and color.

 To expand the functionality of a piece of furniture or bedding (mattress, pillows, etc.) with the proposed filler, you can use it as a floating tool. For this purpose or in order to improve hygienic properties (during the cleaning process), the shell of the mattress can be made of water-repellent material.

 According to the proposal, the piece of furniture or bedding contains a flexible shell or cover filled with a filler consisting of many capsules 1, which are mainly in the form of beans (Fig. 1c), but can be made ellipsoidal (Fig. 1a), spherical (Fig. 1b) or any other suitable form.

 Bean-shaped capsules are most suitable because they have flat side surfaces that provide the greatest comfort when resting on various parts of the human body.

 The elastically deformable capsule 1 (FIG. 2) consists of a shell 2 surrounding a cavity 3 filled in one of the gas options or, in another embodiment, with elastic foam material 4 (FIG. 3).

 The capsule in the form of beans has a length of about 25 mm, a height of 12 mm and a thickness of about 10 mm.

 Variants of the filler are selected depending on the type of product and its purpose. This circumstance also determines the degree of filling of the capsules with gas. For a product, for example, in the form of a pillow 5 (Fig. 4c), it is advisable to pump capsules with gas under low pressure, and for mattresses 6 (Fig. 5) mainly orthopedic or armrests of chairs, it makes sense to fill capsules with gas under high pressure in order to increase their shape stability . For this purpose, the partitions differently located in the product serve, for example, transverse, shown pos. 7 in FIG. 5.

 Pillow 5 consists of two parts 8, for example, mesh material (Fig. 4a), when folded, forming a cover filled with capsules of the above structures. On the edges of the cover is the rim 9 (figb) of the side of the pillow, consisting of a fabric, for example, cotton material.

 In an embodiment of the use of the product for swimming, the cover of such a product, for example, a mattress cover 10, may have water-repellent properties.

 For the manufacture of capsules, environmentally friendly antistatic polymers are used. In order to give the products fireproof properties, the capsules can be filled with carbon dioxide, since the shell is airtight, there will be no gas leak. Capsules have a glossy outer surface.

 During the period of application of the load to the filler, due to the weight of a sitting or lying person, the capsules are deformed, providing a shape corresponding to the corresponding parts of the human body, and after removing this load, they automatically and easily restore their original shape and the shape of the product as a whole, without any additional means (pumps, etc.). The same products, for example, a pillow and a mattress, can be used both for lying on them under ordinary conditions, and as a floating means, due to the gas-filled capsules.

 The proposed filler will make it possible to obtain form-stable, comfortable household products having an attractive appearance and high performance characteristics. After the end of the product’s life, the capsules can be used in accordance with the owner’s imagination, for example, as a decor on a personal plot.

Filler for a piece of furniture or bedding, made in the form of particles capable of moving relative to each other, characterized in that each particle is a capsule having the shape of a bean and formed by a shell filled with gas or elastic foam material. 2. The filler according to claim 1 or 2, characterized in that the capsule is filled with gas under pressure corresponding to the required rigidity of the filler. 4.
