Abstract
Description
The invention relates to medicine, in particular to a composition used in the preparation of coatings for the treatment of purulent wounds and burns.
Known composition containing, by weight. %: sodium alginate 0.5; the enzyme is terrilithin 0.24; water - the rest. The coating obtained on the basis of this composition by freeze drying exhibits proteolytic activity and can be used to treat wounds and burns. However, with this composition, in the process of freeze drying and subsequent radiation sterilization, the proteolytic activity of terrilithin in the finished coating decreases.
The purpose of the invention is to increase the stability of the composition during freeze drying and sterilization of the polymer coating.
This goal is achieved due to the fact that the composition for obtaining a polymer coating of the wound surface, containing an aqueous solution of sodium alginate and the enzyme terrilithin, additionally contains calcium gluconate in the following ratio of components, wt.%: Na alginate 0.2-0.7 Terrylitin 0.015 -0.035
Calcium Gluconate 0.10-0.40
PRI me
The proteolytic activity of terrilithin was evaluated by the modified Kunitz method using a high molecular weight casein substrate.
Examples 2-4 differ from example 1 in composition (amount of terrilithin and calcium gluconate).
The effect of the composition on the stability of the enzyme (maintaining the activity of the enzyme after freeze drying and sterilization) and the properties of the coatings are presented in the table.
The introduction of the composition to obtain a polymer coating of the wound surface, which contains sodium alginate, terrilithin and water, calcium gluconate in the proposed range leads to increased stability of the composition (maintaining higher enzyme activity) after radiation sterilization of the coating about two times. Moreover, the coating is characterized by high water absorption, which is one of the most important characteristics of coatings for wounds and burns. The terms for cleansing wounds under such coatings are approximately two times less than in the prototype with the same enzyme content. The invention will reduce the consumption of the enzyme at each dressing by about 7-16 times.
