Description

 The invention relates to game sports, namely to a sports game of basketball and can be used when equipping playgrounds for competitions of any level.

 It is known that for conducting basketball competitions a sports field is equipped, which includes a playing field and two identical basketball structures (supports for the backboard), installed on the short sides of the playing field, on each of which identical backboards are rigidly mounted [1].

 The shield is a monolithic slab of rectangular shape (hereinafter referred to as the shield) made of hardwood 3 cm thick and another, including a transparent material with the same rigidity, with dimensions of 180 cm horizontally and 120 cm vertically .

 In the central part of the shield, at a distance of 30 cm from its lower edge, a basket consisting of a metal ring (inner diameter - 45 cm, bar cross-section - 2 cm) and a mesh made of a white cord is rigidly fixed.

 On the back of the ring, a rectangle is drawn with dimensions (external) of 59 cm horizontally and 45 cm vertically (strip width - 5 cm) so that the upper edge of the base of the rectangle is at the upper level of the ring.

 The purpose of the shield is to use its surface to hit it with the ball in order to hit the latter (on the principle of rebound) in the basket, as well as to return the ball to the playing area of the court if it does not fall into the ring.

 The purpose of the rectangle above the ring is to create conditions for the concentration of visual attention (aiming) of basketball players (hereinafter referred to as the "concentrator" of visual attention) in determining (finding) those places (points) both on and in the vertical and upper horizontal sides of the rectangle , as well as inside the rectangle itself, when the ball hits, in which the latter directly hits the basket (hereinafter referred to as taking the basket).

 Analysis and statistics of the use of the entire area of the basketball backboard, including the part of the backboard under the ring, to achieve the goal of the game - taking the basket - is shown.

 1. During the game, the upper (angular) parts of the shield area, as well as its lower part, that is, the horizontal strip (180 cm horizontal and 30 cm vertical) located below the ring, are not used in taking the basket, thereby , excessive shield area and, naturally, its weight.

 The experience of games and training processes shows that the lower strip of the shield under the ring excludes the possibility of taking the basket from the playing area located behind the shield, thereby limiting (restricting) the possibilities of taking the basket when the athletes are behind the shield.

 2. The greatest degree of likelihood of a ball falling into a ring is manifested when the ball strikes at certain places (points) of the shield part located directly above the ring, that is, in the area outlined by a rectangle (59x45 cm).

 An analysis of the use of the shield zone to take the basket located above the ring shows that the contouring (bordering) of it with solid lines in the form of a rectangle causes the dispersal of the basketball players' visual attention during the game and therefore to some extent makes it difficult to instantly (before making the throw) determine (find) "work" places in this area of the shield, that is, points that contribute to the ball getting into the ring, which leads to an insufficient coefficient of taking the basket and, consequently, insufficient efficiency (result ativeness) of the game.

 Known shield for playing basketball, made with an arched top edge and a landmark above the basket basket [2].

 Well-known shield is not effective enough in the game.

 The aim of the present invention is to increase the efficiency of use.

 This goal is achieved in that the shield is made in the form of a segment with a radius of 90-37 cm and with a center of 10 ± 0.5 cm from the chord, while the landmark is depicted by two arcs with a radius of 29.5 cm and 24.5 cm with a center at the upper edge the basket rings and between the arcs of the landmark are numbered.

 In FIG. 1 and 2 show the proposed shield; in FIG. 3 and 4 - nomogram for determining the minimum and maximum sizes of the radius of a segment centered at 10 ± 0.5 cm from its lower edge (chord).

 The proposed shield is a monolithic plate 1, made in the form of a segment with a radius of 90-37 cm, in the center of which, located at a distance of 10 ± 0.5 cm from the chord, a standard basketball basket 2 is rigidly attached.

 On the shield plate (behind the ring), a semicircle with a radius of 29.5 cm with a strip width of 5 cm is drawn, on the line (strip) 4 of which Arabic numerals 5 (or other symbols) are applied (drawn).

 The numbers (or other symbols) on the semicircle strip are plotted (drawn) at an equal distance from each other from a distance of 10.0 cm from the line of the upper level of the ring with bright, clearly visible paint that differs in color from the edging of the edges of the shield (plate) and the semicircle strip; numbers (symbols) are applied starting from the left side.

 The choice of the limits of the radii of the segment equal to 90-37 cm is justified on the basis of the following (see Fig. 2).

 According to the rules of the game, the ring (outer diameter - 49 cm) is rigidly fixed in the center of the shield at a distance of 10 cm from its lower edge; the diameter of the basketball 6 used in the game should be no more than 25 cm.

 An analysis of the process of taking the basket using the minimum area of the shield shows that taking the basket is feasible with the width of the shield strip (counting along the line of the upper level of the ring from its end face (projection onto the shield to the edge of the shield) equal to half the diameter of the ball, i.e. 12.5 cm.

 In this case, the radius of the segment will be 37 cm (24.5 cm is the radius of the ring, 12.5 cm is the distance from the end of the ring (its projection onto the shield to the edge of the shield), the value of which is taken as the minimum size of the radius of the segment.

 The maximum size of the segment radius, equal to 90 cm, is accepted as the optimal size corresponding to half the width of a standard rectangular-shaped shield (180: 2 = 90 cm).

 The proposed shield for a sports game of basketball in the form of a segment, with a “concentrator” of visual attention in the form of a semicircle with Arabic numerals (or other symbols) on it, allows you to reduce the excess area of the board, the cost of its manufacture, reduce its weight, give the board an aesthetic appearance and significantly expand the conditions for increasing the efficiency (effectiveness) of the game.

THE BASKETBALL GAME SHIELD, made with an arched top edge and a landmark above the basket ring, characterized in that, in order to increase the efficiency of use, it is made in the form of a segment with a radius of 90 - 37 cm and a center (10 ± 0.5) cm from the chord.  2. The shield according to claim 1, characterized in that the landmark is made in the form of a part of the ring with outer and inner radii of 29.5 and 24.5 cm, respectively, and a center located in the zone of contact of the basket ring with the shield.  3. The shield according to claims 1 and 2, characterized in that digital designations are applied between the arcs of the landmark.
