Sizes of projections by radius from bolt axis and over contact surface exceed radius of circle of pressure cone over the same surface. Height of projection on one of engageable part when projection is made on one part only or total height of projections when they are provided on both engageable parts is selected according to required thickness of sealant. Недостатками такого способа герметизации является трудоемкость постановки герметичных элементов крепления, высокая точность изготовления сопрягаемых элементов, высокая чистота герметизируемых поверхностей.
