Abstract

The utility model relates to the field of crop production, physiology and biochemistry of plants and can be used to grow plants in the soil, as well as hydroponics and aeroponics. The purpose of the utility model is to create a device for supporting plants in an upright position without the use of additional devices for attaching plants to a support, not immersed in the soil, used when growing plants using hydro- and aeroponic methods. This goal is achieved by manufacturing a device having a lower horizontally located part, on which a flower pot or other reservoir for growing plants is installed, and an upper horizontally located part, having an annular or other shape, which serves to support the plants. Thus, due to the presence of the base of the device on which a flower pot or other reservoir for growing plants is installed, the device serves as a support for plants without contacting the device with soil.

The disadvantage of these devices is their use only when growing plants in soil or using other solid substrates and the inability to use when growing plants using hydro- or aeroponics methods.

The disadvantage of these devices is the possibility of their use only with flower pots of a certain shape or special design.

A device is known that is used as a support for plants (patent US 9565808 B2, A01G 9/12, publication date March 23, 2012), consisting of a stand for a flower pot with two vertical posts attached to it and an upper horizontal bar for hanging climbing plants. The disadvantage of this device is the possibility of its use only when growing plants in a flower pot of a certain diameter and height.

Known devices used to support plants of different heights (AS USSR 869674, A01G 9/12, publication date October 7, 1981, patent US 5174060 A, A01G 9/12, publication date December 29, 1981), consisting of disposable vertically struts having rings or hooks at the upper end, and spiral fixers of plants suspended on vertically arranged struts on rings or hooks and stretched to the full height of the vertical struts. The disadvantage of these devices is the possibility of their use only when growing plants using soil substrate for fastening vertically located racks in it.

A device for supporting plants is known (patent US 20040216372 A1, A01G 9/124, publication date April 03, 2003), the supporting (lower) part of which is a rounded or rectangular loop placed at the bottom of the flower pot and held at the bottom of the flower pot by the mass of soil and plants. From the bottom of the device located at the bottom of the flower pot at an angle of 90 degrees, there is a vertically placed stand serving as a support for the plant. On the vertical support for the plant, support elements can be additionally fixed for better plant retention. The disadvantage of this device is the need for its fixing in the soil, which makes it difficult to transplant the plant, as well as the inability to use the device when growing plants using hydro- or aeroponics methods.

The closest analogue to the universal device used as a support for plants is the device used to support plants grown in flower pots (patent US 5778597 A, A01G 9/124, publication date July 14, 1998), consisting of a base with a cylindrical recess for installing a flower pot and a stand attached to the base, placed vertically and serving as a support for the plant. The disadvantages of this device are the inability to use it when growing undersized plants, the need to use additional devices for attaching plants to a vertically located rack, the ability to use the device only in combination with flower pots of a certain height and diameter.

The purpose of the utility model is to create a device for supporting plants in an upright position without the use of additional devices for attaching plants to a support that is not immersed in the soil, used when growing plants using hydro- and aeroponic methods.

This goal is achieved by manufacturing a device having a lower horizontally located part, on which a flower pot or other reservoir for growing plants is installed, and an upper horizontally located part, having an annular or other shape, which serves to support the plants.

The device (Fig. 1), made of wire of various cross-sections, includes a horizontally located base 1, used as a device stand, a vertical stand of various heights 2, a horizontally located latch 4 having an annular or other shape and serving to fix the plants, jumpers 3 and 5, necessary for adaptation of the device when using tanks 6 of different diameters for growing plants.

A device for supporting plants works as follows. On the base 1, the size of which is selected in accordance with the shape and size of the tank for growing plants 6, a flower pot or other tank for growing plants is installed on top. The height of the vertically located rack 2 is selected in accordance with the size of the plants. The size of the retainer 4 is selected in accordance with the size and location of the plants in the reservoir 6. As the height of the plants reaches the level of the retainer 4, they are directed inside it to prevent lodging of the plants and maintain the vertical direction of plant growth.

Thus, due to the presence of the base of the device on which a flower pot or other reservoir for growing plants is installed, the device serves as a support for plants without contacting the device with soil.

A universal support for plants, including a horizontally located base for a tank with plants and a vertically located stand, characterized in that the vertically located stand contains a horizontally placed clamp for plants and does not repeat the shape of the tank in which the plants are grown, while the dimensions of the clamp and the height of the rack are selected taking into account the size and location of plants in the tank, and a jumper is additionally adjacent to the base.
